Professor Maher A. Abbas was invited as an international guest faculty at the 68th Brazilian Congress of Coloproctology in Fortaleza, Brazil. The congress is the largest of its kind in South America and it features the most prominent academic colorectal surgeons from several continents including South America, North America, Europe, and Asia. Professor Maher A. Abbas was featured in 3 sessions in the Congress and spoke on various topics including the management of radiation proctitis, endoscopic resection of colorectal tumors, and the 10 commandments of re-operative pelvic surgery for complex disorders.
