Professor Maher A. Abbas appeared as a special guest at the globally attended DCR [Diseases of The Colon and Rectum] journal club.  DCR is the official journal of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.  The topic of this global journal club edition was anal fistula.  Professor Maher A. Abbas was featured along with colleagues from Australia, Singapore, Russia, and Brazil.  The latter part of the journal club was dedicated to Campaign_52, the humanitarian mission to Kenya to care for girls and women with pelvic fistulas.
