Professor Maher A. Abbas attended the annual meeting of the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery in Chicago, USA. With over a decade of involvement with the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery, Professor Abbas has served on the written examination committee as well as a senior board examiner for the annual board certification examination. Fellowship trained colorectal surgeons from the USA and Canada become board certified after successful completion of a written examination followed by an oral examination.
