Professor Maher A. Abbas was featured as a guest of honor at the 2018 Shanghai Lujazui International Colorectal Week in Shanghai, China.  This scientific congress was attended by more than 1000 Chinese surgeons.  The meeting featured an international faculty group from the USA, Russia, Italy, Portugal, Korea, Japan, China, India, Venezuela, and Egypt.  Professor Maher A. Abbas was invited to give 2 scientific talks.  In addition, he participated in the panel discussion on the future of the new evolving field of NOSES (natural orifice specimen extraction site surgery).
