It is your health. You deserve one.
Second Opinion
No one cares about your health more than you. Seeking a second opinion contributes to your well-being and in some cases, it can SAVE YOUR LIFE! Whether it is a small proctologic condition such as hemorrhoids or fistula, a long-term issue like Crohn’s disease, or a life-threatening disorder like colorectal cancer, Dr. Maher Abbas believes that everyone deserves a second opinion. He is committed to providing you with the highest quality second opinion.
Why get a second opinion?
In order to receive the proper care, you need first to have the right diagnosis! Research studies and administrative data have shown that when patients seek a higher level of care, a significant number of them come in with the wrong diagnosis. In addition, for patients who present with the correct diagnosis, up to 50% have received the wrong or suboptimal treatment recommendations!
Getting a second opinion provides you with the opportunity to confirm your diagnosis and to ask all relevant questions which positively impact your health. Optimizing your medical or surgical treatment is of great benefit to you now and in the long run.
How do you get a second opinion?
Dr. Maher Abbas provides a second opinion consultation through a regular office visit or online (for international patients outside the UAE).
