Abbas was invited as a participant in new innovations in proctologic surgery workshop at Universita Cattolica Gemelli hospital in Rome, Italy.  A leader and innovator in colorectal surgery, Dr. Maher Abbas visited with Professor Carlo Ratto, a world expert in proctologic surgery.  The 2-day workshop featured advances in hemorrhoid surgery and new treatment for fecal incontinence.
