The 1st Emirates Stoma Care Conference was held in Abu Dhabi with large attendance of nurses and physicians from the various emirates. Dr. Maher A. Abbas was featured as a keynote speaker to discuss the role of ileostomy and colostomy in colorectal surgery. In addition, he moderated the section on difficult stoma cases. The conference was a great success and served as platform for academic and clinical exchange.
