Dr. Maher A. Abbas was invited as a speaker at the Cattolica Policlinico Universitaria Agostino Gemelli in Rome, Italy.   The hospital is one the largest academic training surgery centers in Europe and the home of an advanced coloproctology unit.  Dr. Abbas spoke on the value and impact of mentorship in the field of surgery.
