Dr. Maher A. Abbas, an avid mountaineer, summitted Mount Apo in the Davao region.  Mount Apo is a volcanic mountain and the highest peak in the Philippines.  The 2-day expedition involved various terrain landscapes including farming land, a rainforest, sulfur springs, lakes, and boulders.  Mount Apo’s highest peak stands at 2954 meters.
