A 100-year old Emirati man was saved by Dr Maher A. Abbas. An emergency advanced and novel minimally invasive endoluminal endoscopic procedure was performed by Professor Abbas in a timely fashion to relieve a colon blockage from a large cancer. The endoscopic metal coil stent was deployed successfully at Al-Zahra Hospital. The patient who was transferred from another Emirate for this technically challenging procedure had full recovery and was discharged home.
