Dr. Maher A. Abbas was appointed as a member of the International Committee and the Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. Appointed members of these committees guide international relations with colorectal surgical societies worldwide and shape the practice of the specialty by publishing evidence-based guidelines for the various conditions treated by colorectal surgeons.
